I was realizing during my run today that DeVage’s Subs & Donuts is the fourth donut place I have included in a run.
For National Donut Day today — Friday, June 3 — I decided to end at DeVage’s in Salisbury. I also passed by the shop soon into my run, and snapped a photo and tweeted it for the #RunChatHunt, which recently started.
The other donut runs I have completed included donuts from:
- Corner Bakery in Onancock
- Krispy Kreme – last year’s National Donut Day run
- Dunkin’ Donuts
To read about any of the runs, just click on the links above. Each run has been different. Today’s run was a simple three-miler (I’m running a race tomorrow) in which I didn’t push myself and stopped to take a few #RunChatHunt photos. During the Dunkin’ Donuts run, I ate four donuts with running in between the stops.

Two donuts from DeVage’s were a nice treat after the run, and I looked forward to eating the donuts as I ran. At the recommendation of a Maryland Tourism article, I decided to check out the strawberry shortcake one. Yum!
By the way, I was happy to see that Merriam-Webster put out a post giving people permission to spell it “donut.” I just like that spelling better.
Have a happy National Donut Day!
