It has been a busy few months, and now that I am in the midst of four days off in a row, I am catching up on the blog. It’s now time to recap my September and October running. As someone who doesn’t love running in the heat and humidity, I’m happy to wave goodbye to August. Here’s how the month went! Overall, it was a good month, and September is looking even better, as I’ve finally gotten a diagnosis for my coughing while running – irritable larynx syndrome. More on that later!
Much of July was spent completing the Tour de Salisbury. I also made more of an effort to work on strength training. Here’s how the month went… I ran 95.08 miles. After a lower-for-me mileage month in June, including 12 days off, I took one more day off at the beginning of July and then … More July running recap: The Tour de Salisbury, and a few other things

I told myself after the Algonquin 50K, I’d take two weeks off. I pretty much did (I took 13 days off), and I think it really helped! I ran 70.15 miles in February. I did run the 50K, as noted, but with my 13 days off afterward, I ended up with a lower-than-usual mileage month … More My February running: Two races and almost two weeks off
January was a somewhat successful month of running. I was able to start the year off with a 100-plus mile month, but I also finally decided to get treatment for an issue that had been bothering me. Before my annual recap, it’s time for my last monthly recap of 2021, about my December running. There were lots of fun runs during this month! I ran 114.46 miles.
