I’ve reached 100 miles for the year for 2015 — just one day earlier than I did last year.

I checked to compare my progress to last year and found that I hit 500 on June 9, 2014, during a run in Ocean City. This year, I hit 500 during a five-miler today: June 8.
I’m off work today because I’m working on Sunday, so I decided to get in a run with the 11:30 Club, which I used to run with more often when I was off on weekdays — as the name indicates, the club runs at 11:30 a.m.
I knew I needed 4.76 miles to make it to 500, so I decided to run 5 miles.
I ended 2014 with a total of 1,152.78 miles, not too far from my goal for this year of 1,200 miles. I’m confident that I’ll be able to meet the 1,200-mile goal.
I’m also working on another one of the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year: to have a run streak for any one month. It’s something different, and a new way to motivate myself.
So far, I’ve run every day in June. Now that I’ve already run eight days, I might as well finish out the other 22, right?
