So, the hashtag for the half marathon at the St. Michaels Running Festival is #flattestfastest. Have I grabbed your attention yet?
Flat, fast courses are great for the runner doing his or her first half marathon or a seasoned runner aiming for a PR. Really, who aren’t they great for?
If a flat and fast course didn’t hook you in, St. Michaels is a cute Eastern Shore town on the water that’s fun to run in.
I’m excited to announce that my first race ambassadorship is for the St. Michaels Running Festival Half Marathon.
Registration is now open for this race, which is set for May 20, 2017, and I have a code that can save you $10 on registration.
Here’s the code: SMARCJ
And here’s where you can register and put the code in: http://runstm.com/registration
I am excited to check out this race for the first time, and I would love to run less than 2 hours on this course. I’ll have to do some speed work, but the flat course will help me, since I train in a flat area!
I have done a few 5Ks in St. Michaels as part of TriCycle and Run’s free monthly race series and will be back on Saturday for the 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater 5K Fun Run.
