Halfway through the 1,200-mile goal

I’ve reached the halfway point to 1,200 miles for the year, one of my goals for 2015. With my 10-miler on Friday, I passed the 600-mile mark.

If each month were to be even, I would have passed the milestone on the last day of June, running an average of 100 miles a month. However, I hit the halfway point on July 10 — only 10 days short of half of the year. With my second marathon of the year coming up in October, I’ll have plenty of time to log long runs.

At of July 10 last year, I was at 569.6 miles. And, I passed the 600-mile mark on July 20 last year — so, I’m slightly ahead of where I was then, when my goal was to run 1,000 miles for the year. (I ran 1,152.78.)

So far, I’ve only broken 100 miles in a month during one month this year — March — but that month, I was way over. I don’t think reaching my goal of 1,200 miles will be hard to achieve. I’ll just continue to keep my mileage up.
