Three running goals for 2023

She Runs by the City: Exploring the WB&A Trail in Prince George’s County

Because I write for RunWashington but live on the Eastern Shore, I set a 2020 goal to run in at least six new-to-me places in the Washington, D.C., area, which I figured would include the District, Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland, and Northern Virginia. I had the day off for Martin Luther King … More She Runs by the City: Exploring the WB&A Trail in Prince George’s County

These are the four running/fitness goals I’ve set to motivate myself during 2020

I’m setting four goals for my running and fitness in 2020, and I decided to set at least two non-time goals because those were the only type of goals that I accomplished in 2019. I’m not as fast as I used to be, and for me, running is more than just fast times. But I … More These are the four running/fitness goals I’ve set to motivate myself during 2020

I hit all my non-time-based running goals in 2019, and other highlights from the year

I’m heading into 2019 with these five running goals

I only met one of my running goals in 2018, but that won’t stop me from starting out 2019 by setting five running-related goals. I tried to set a variety of goals — for example, they aren’t all time-based. I am also linking up with Zenaida Arroyo and Kookyrunner (Kim), two fellow BibRave Pros, for … More I’m heading into 2019 with these five running goals

Staying local for Marathon No. 10: The Salisbury Marathon

I enjoy traveling to other states to explore and run marathons, but this spring, for my 10th marathon, I’ll only be traveling about a half mile to the start line. I have decided to run the Salisbury Marathon in Salisbury, Maryland, on April 6. I knew that I wanted to run the race in some … More Staying local for Marathon No. 10: The Salisbury Marathon

November wrap-up: A month of hitting mileage milestones

Follow @vanessajunkin Another month of running has come and gone, and this was an exciting one when it came to my total mileage.  I ran 104.71 miles. Since I wasn’t really actively training for much other than to maintain my running for pacing the Rehoboth Seashore Half Marathon this coming weekend, this was certainly helped … More November wrap-up: A month of hitting mileage milestones
