I got to test the Knockaround Premiums for BibRave last year, and I thought the sunglasses were good quality, fun and flattering. So when an opportunity came up to test a different fit of the Knockaround brand, I was excited for the opportunity.

I received the Knockaround Fast Lanes a little more than two weeks ago, and I really like them. According to the Knockaround website, this particular style of sunglasses is “designed to look great on medium and larger face shapes.” I’m not quite sure exactly what size face shape I have, but I think these are a very flattering fit. Someone even commented on one of my photos with them and said they looked great on me.

Of course, after I received the sunglasses, we had a decent amount of cloudy days, and I also didn’t run for a week after the Salisbury Marathon. If the Salisbury Marathon or Coastal Delaware Half Marathon had been sunny, I would have worn the sunglasses for those. Both these races were really foggy at the start, and were pretty overcast while I was running.

I did get to wear the sunglasses today on my lunch break for a sunny run. I also wore them for a run on which I did some errands, and another recent run that really wasn’t sunny, but I wanted to wear them again.

On my last long run before the marathon — an eight-miler — I brought the sunglasses with hopes it would be nice and sunny out. It was overcast, and it rained some. I did most of the run with the sunglasses on top of my head because I didn’t need them.

Then, when I had about a mile to go before I got back to my house, it started hailing — at least, I’m pretty sure that’s what it was. The hail was hitting my eyes. Even though it wasn’t sunny at all, I actually decided to put the sunglasses on as a hail shield, and they certainly helped.

When I did wear them during runs, they stayed on well despite getting sweaty, and they were comfortable. They are also clear to see out of and do a good job blocking the sun. The Knockaround Fast Lanes also have full UV400 protection, according to the website.

I also love these sunglasses as everyday wear sunglasses. I think they’re stylish and go with a regular outfit as well as they go with a running one.

The Knockaround Fast Lanes come in numerous colors, but I chose the Glossy Tortoise Shell/Amber Fast Lanes. See all the colors here. If you want something different, you can even create your own.

Here I am running in my Knockaround Fast Lanes. This was a posed photo, so when I ran the loop, I actually ran the other way. This was a better angle for the self-timer photo, though.
